Answers to questions you may have about Hospiscare and the House Clearance Service.


No we are a local charity caring for local people and their families in Exeter, mid and east Devon.

If we are providing a full house clearance service we will accept all electrical items. If, however, you are using our partial house clearance service, we will only accept electrical items in good working order.

Yes we can offer a written estimation.

We can collect keys from designated third parties such as solicitors, estate agents, family, friends and neighbours, providing they are in the area.

We work from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and are closed on Saturday and Sunday. However in exceptional circumstances it is possible to arrange a viewing outside of office hours.

We will completely clear a property if we are conducting a full house clearance. We will also empty lofts, cellars, outbuildings and garages where required. Carpets, curtains, and light fittings remain unless otherwise specified.

All proceed profits from the sale of items goes to patient care.

Providing the items can be sold, they will go into our warehouse before being allocated to one of our shops or specialist outlets.

Yes we are employed directly by Hospiscare.
